Anyone have any problems with the Super Pet ferret crinkle sack?
Does anyone have or know anyone who has owned this product? If so, any issues with it?
I work at Petco, and I had a client come to me the other day saying that one of thier ferrets got thier toe stuck in it while they were on vacation, the ferret died. Thier next ferret got stuck in a different crinkle sack andgot a really bad laceration on his belly. We had to pull the product off the shelf.
I don't have it, but I do know other people that have it and they've had no problems with it. When you say the person's ferret got its toe stuck, my first thought is the ferret's nail snagged the sack (the nail could have also even been split, which would make it very hard for the ferret to get loose - this happened to one of mine when I first got ferrets, her nail had split, she snagged it on her hammock when trying to get out of it, and she could not get loose by herself). That can happen if a ferret's nails aren't clipped regularly, which would be the owner's fault, not because of something being wrong with the sack.
