Do ferrets mind being taken from house to house with you?
My parents are divorced and I'm wondering if I do a 2 and 3 day schedual, if I could take a ferret form house to house with me. Or would it be ok if it stayed with my mom because my mom has a close bond with all of my animals and is a good caregiver and she always remembers. I stay with her the most so?? Also, do you know any portable pet cages that are real cages but can be transported easily? Besides cat carriers and play pens like if i were to spend the night at my grandparents and bring my fur kid?
If I get 2 ferrets...
Some ferrets might not mind it. I know of a couple people with ferrets that travel a lot and their ferrets go almost everywhere with them and it doesn't seem to bother the ferrets. However, if your mom is willing to take care of the ferrets while you're with your dad, then I think it would be best if you just left them with your mom. Like I said, some don't mind it, but some will. As for portable cages, look into the ones from the Super Pet brand. I have two that are 2' x 2' x 2'. They're kind of bulky, but they're small enough to be portable. It's definitely not something you'd want to keep the ferrets in all the time, but for one or two nights with some out-of-cage exercise time, it should be ok (unless you get more than two ferrets, then it might become too crowded for even an overnighter).
