My yorkie nail is hanging and the quick is exposed help!!!?
Yesterday my mother called "The pet doctor" and he came to my house to check both of my dogs out to give shots, well he cut down my yorkie nails but on her back left paw her nail is split across and the quick is exposed but theres no blood, can someone help me and tell me what to do for this or at least the pain until tomorrow when we take her to the doctor?
If it didn't bleed after being clipped, the quick isn't exposed. I've had two different dogs break nails badly. One had to have the nail cut short and the vet cauterized it so it wouldn't bleed, and it grew back fine. The other was just a split nail, and I clipped off the loose jagged part, and he was fine.
