will a moth survive in a plastic cup over night?

i trapped a moth i found in my room in a mini mart cup. normally i would just kill it because i hate hate hate moths. but i don't want him to die. i can't set him free because i if do i'll wake the whole house up. will he survive another 7 hours in there

I think he will survive, last night I saw the biggest moth I had ever seen! I put her in a small box and she survived the night. I had the window open and I was reading a book so must have come through the window!

Good on you for not killing the creature! I personally dont kill anything. I find it kind of cruel if anyone does. What did the moth do? lol.

If you are worried, you could set it free from the window if possible.
