Do I need to throw out everything in my pantry, found mealworms?
I had been keeping an open bag of oats in a plastic bag for a few months, using it sporadically. When I went to open it to make some oatmeal cookies I saw tons of tiny meal worms all over it. Obviously I threw it out. Question is, a few cabinets away I have a couple of flour packs. They are far away and are also individually sealed in plastic bags. The mealworms were contained because they hadn't even made it out of the oats bag and into the next item inside the plastic bag (also threw that out). Is it necessary to throw anything else out? Next to it was just some maple syrup and cocoa powder which I don't think attract anything other than ants.
