can my pet store mouse have lice or some type of furr bugs?
i got a mouse from a pet store and it got out of the cage last night and my dad cot it and my mom did not know abot the mouse and she did bring the cage and the rodent out side and in my dads truck can it have lice or fur bugs so the rodent got out of the cage and around my dads truck and my mom throw the cage away add i fond the mouse in my dads truck and brot it in side can it have fur bugs how can i tell
I had a really hard time understanding your question, but in general a mouse from a pet store is going to be pretty clean. I've owned many pet store rodents and the most problems I've ever had is wet tail and cancer. Pet store rodents are not usually exposed to the same parasites as wild mice are. Wild mice can be carriers of Lyme's disease, rabies, and other things, but a mouse from a pet store won't have been exposed to deer ticks and other things. There is a very slim chance that your mouse has any type of parasite. It may catch a disease like Wet Tail, which causes diarrhea and dehydration, but that won't make you sick.
I'm not real sure what went on with your mom and the truck and all, but I would make sure you talk to your parents before getting any pet. Hiding animals from parents usually doesn't work. There are plenty of websites full of research on all sorts of pets you can show them, including sites on pet mice.
Oh, and make sure you get a very secure cage, rodents are very good as escaping. the best choice is probably an aquarium with a screen lid and a buckle strap or two to go around it.
