I am thinking of getting a Guinea Pig, do i need more on the list of things i need to buy?

Do NOT buy a pet store cage, they are way to small one pig, even in the biggest size they come in. You should really look into C&C cages! They are even cheaper to make than buying the smallest cage at the pet store.

Do not even get the Vit C drops. Not only do they wreck the taste of the water, causing your pig to drink less, but the Vit C that was in there at first has long dissolved. They also have a whole paragraph worth of other ingredients that are complete garbage.
FRUITS are treats for guinea pigs. Do not buy any of that junk from the pet store (mineral licks, yogurt drops, etc.) They are cause health problems down the road for your piggy, such as bladder stones and being over weight. It's also recommended that a pig has a cup of veggies a day. Romain lettuce, cherry tomatoe, 1/8 of red bell pepper, cilantro is what I feed mind almost every day. Feel free to change it up!

For a list of toys, read over this link before you buy any! The most favorite toys for guinea pigs tend to be the simple, almost free ones, like empty kleenex boxes filled with hay.

I wouldn't buy that expensive playpen sold at pet stores. They are too small for free time area anyways, and would be a waist of money. For free range time, I just use things like pillows and other random stuff around the house to block off parts of the room I dont want them going. As far as bedding goes, just make sure you never use cedar bedding. It's toxic for piggies. I use fleece, my piggies love it, and it's much cheaper than buying bedding.

Lastly, please adopt instead of buy. Thousands of piggies die in shelters every year, and buying from both a breeder and petstore (same thing) only adds to the over population problem. You should also REALLY consider adopting two, since guinea pigs are social animals and belong in pairs or more! As long as you have a petstore near you, you WILL have piggies out for adopting near you.
