does anyone know a good bedding for them at petco?

The ramps and the ledges in the ebay cage are completely unsafe for your chin to live in. Safe bottoms are 1/2 x 1/2 inch openings and no more. Many a person has come home to find their chin dangling upside down from those particular ramps and ledges, with their leg broken and needing amputate. Stay away from cage one.

Martins cages fairly popular with rat and chin folk, but more so with rats I think. They do have wire bottoms, and the spacing is safe on the floor (1/2 x 1/2 inch) but chins do not need ramps and often times just end up hurting themselves on them. Especially in that short of a cage, jumping from level to level will be easier and quicker for them than bothering with the ramps. It has a slide out tray, which is easy for cleaning, but you also need to provide resting places for his/her feet on those wires so their feet don't sustain damage.

Have you considered a ferret nation cage? They can really be decked out nicely and are very spacious. They also have wheels which make them extremely easy to move. Here is thread with many different ferret nation setups: http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134&highlight=ferret+nation+club. You can get a one, two or three level and they are really nice cages. They cost a little more, but even if you can only afford one level now, you can add levels on later.

As far as bedding, I use kiln dried pine shavings. Others use fleece liners or Carefresh Ultra. It all depends on what works for you. You may have to try a couple different types until you figure out which one is the best for your household.

Good luck and congratulations on your soon to be chin. :)
