What can a picky eater eat do to stay healthy?
I am a very picky eater when it comes to fruit and vegetables.Don't like fresh fruit or canned vegetables all that much.Like apples and bananas okay.It's just that when I tried eating them every day I would miss a day or two or they would spoil before I had a chance to eat itWhen I go to Cici's I usually just have lettuce with dressing on it.When I go shopping I buy granola bars that are high fiber,100% juices,water,and nactivia(the yogurt that is for digestive health),meats,and some pastas.My boyfriend says that eating a salad every day is good for you but when I looked at the nutritional value of lettuce it just didn't look like it is that good for me and plus I usually just like lettuce only with cheese and dressing and nothing else on it when I have a salad.I also have done away with eating out much or drinking anything besides juice or water. Any suggestions or is what I am eating okay?And is it really that unhealthy if I don't eat the recommended fruits and vegetables every day?
It sounds like you're off to a good start already. Have you tried eating more unusual fruits and vegetables? Next time you're at the grocery store, take a look at some of the produce that you may have missed before. (If you like to cook, that will make this even easier, since trying the new stuff will open up the opportunity to experiment with new recipes.) If you drink juice, try some V8- it contains vegetables but tastes like fruit, so you might not find it as gross as eating vegetables.
