How do I delete old search terms in search boxes?
Hi. I find it annoying when I search for something, like let's say... B, when trying to type B. When I type B, a list of words starting with B appear that I searched for in the past. Like for example:
I type in B
---- (Below is list of things I searched for starting with B)
Burrow
Bunny
(Etc.)
How do I get rid of those old terms? Thanks in advance.
That is part of the autocomplete feature that can be turned off in options.
In IE go to tools/ internet options/ content/ autocomplete/ settings/ forms.
In Firefox go to tools/ options/ privacy/ history/ remember what I enter in forms and the search bar.
You can also delete the entries by double clicking on an empty box, drop down to the first item, and then press delete for each entry.
