Whats so wrong with having a pet monkey?
Ok... so
The MONKEY issue.
I, Myself, Think that its an ok idea to own a monkey.
People own every other kind of animal.
Why not a monkey?
They are the most LIKE us, so why cant we live with them?
We keep alligators,sugar gliders,BIRDS (which are FREE FLYING in nature may i add) and even freaking deer.
If a person is educated, has the time, patience, funding, and love, i think they should be able to own a monkey. (without hearing oh your cruel for keeping him/her)

I am not looking to buy a monkey as a pet i just dont like how people are SO hypocritical on pet monkeys.

Aggression
The sweet dependent baby monkey will eventually grow up, and become the wild animal it was meant to be. Unfortunately, raising a monkey around humans doesn't change the wild nature of monkey, and in fact depriving a pet monkey of normal social relationships with other monkeys can create behavior problems and neuroses.
Pet monkeys also have a tendency to bite. They have different personalities so one cannot generalize, but some monkeys will be very aggressive, and others will be more docile. The Mess

Aside from the toileting messes, pet monkeys can be extremely mischievous and destructive, especially if bored.

For any/all of the above reasons, I do not think a monkey is a good choice for a pet.
